Fifth Grade and Centers

Students work in centers to complete mini projects.
Center A is typing- fifth graders need to practice typing
Center B is Cacoo.com- Students create diagrams on Cacoo.com (a free Internet program)
Center C is vocabulary– students search the Internet to define animal classification vocabulary words.
Center D is a creative center- students create a mobile for Animal Classification.
Center E is Question sheets- students’ research on the Internet to fill in the answers.

Sixth Grade- Xtranormal Projects

Students created animation videos using Xtranormal.com. Students wrote scripts that included ten vocabulary words (integrating Technology and Language skills). They were given creative freedom to pick their characters, settings, voices, and camera angles. Since the program is web based, students were able to work on the project at home.

Bullying and Cyberbullying Video created by Ninth Grade Students

Students wrote, directed, produced, filmed, and edited the video. This was their first time to create a video. This was a learning process for everyone involved.

Internet Safety/Cyberbullying/Bullying

Students viewed Internet Safety videos and held class discussions. Students created projects about Internet Safety/Cyberbullying/Bullying. Fifth graders created a PowerPoint, sixth graders created a movie in Movie Maker, seventh graders created a video in Animoto, eighth graders created an animation with Goanimate.

Third Grade Avatars!

Third graders wrote poetry for their Avatars which were emailed to parents. Students created Avatars with www.voki.com.
